Psychiatry vs Psychology
In psychiatry, these professionals are Medical Doctors or Nurse Practitioners who specialize in mental health, including emotional and personality disorders. Biological and medical aspects of mental illness and physical health effects are considered during treatment.
Psychology professionals often have a doctoral degree and specialize in talk or psychotherapy, CBT, DBT, and trauma-focused therapy. Psychologists are also trained to conduct psychological testing and evaluations.
